We find that we use and/or recommend the following programs on a regular basis, so we've made a list of links to their respective websites for your convenience.

Avast Antivirus

Avast has a few different versions (including a free option), offering varying levels of protection.

AVG Antivirus

Another antivirus program, offering a few versions with differing levels of protection to suit your needs.

AVG Removal Tool

The removal tool for AVG, should you need to reinstall the program or remove it entirely.

Bit Defender

Bit Defender has a couple of security products for sale, and a free online virus scan.

CCleaner

A free tool for cleaning up and optimising your computer.

Defraggler

A free application that can be used to defrag your entire hard drive or individual files.

Gimp

A free image manipulation program.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Malwarebytes offers a few programs to protect your computer from malware, including viruses, worms, and trojans.

McAfee Removal Tool

The removal tool for McAfee security products. The link to the actual tool is in step 2.

Norton Removal Tool

The removal tool for various Norton products.

Teamviewer

A remote desktop program.

VLC Player

A simple, yet effective media player.
